High School Graduation Adornment

My child is a member of their high school’s QSA club (Queer Straight Alliance) and is graduating in a few weeks. The school has a policy that only adornments that celebrate academic achievements, are cultural or religious in nature or are club approved.

My child would like to wear an adornment to celebrate their identity but apparently this is the first time a student has asked about graduation adornments, so I haven’t been able to get an answer about what they can wear.

Would a lavender stole with the Progress color scheme be appropriate? Or should they just go subtle with a pride pin instead?
