I found this on a readin (doesnt let me write the full word) pls help

I asked why does he control himself so much to the point that when he sees me on the street (because we are in no contact) he tries to act like he doesnt care but then he gets so nervous at the same time that I can tell, but still hes trying to control himself, and they said that its because hes afraid of losing control, that his life is really stable or he has a certain image, independent and doesnt want to lose control over his life, that he also cares about his image, and that if he was in a relationship with me, he would have to change something. (this always comes, and I never understand)

Im so confused why is he like this, I dont get how someone can be afraid of losing control like control about what!!!!!!!! sorry im crashing out and really frustrated
