Tips and tricks required!
My 8 month old has been successfully sleep trained using the sleep wave method. Honestly, this worked very very well for us, and his sleep has improved 100% for both naps and overnight sleep. Considering he was awake every 45 minutes before, and now only wakes once in the night for a feed, I’m on cloud nine! He will typically go down for bedtime with no crying at all, or with a minute or so of token, halfhearted wahhhs to express his tiredness.
However, he’s got a habit recently of being rather noisy when he’s coming to the end of one sleep cycle and moving into another. He’ll let out sporadic single cries over the period of a few minutes and then settle back down again. He doesn’t seem to be fully waking up at all, but this is of course waking me up, and getting me all keyed up watching the monitor checking to see if he’s settling down again.
I’m sure this is totally normal, but any advice for how to filter out these noises? I obviously still want to be quickly responsive to any actual crying in the night!
