A list of Positive Takeaways from this Season

APPRECIATION

I think we had a good season overall, despite getting swept in the first round. Just off the top of my head, there are quite a few positives that happened thus far.

- We finished with a 52-39 record (better than last year).

- We thoroughly embarrassed the Rockets. That series overall was incredibly satisfying.

- Rui played incredibly well during the playoffs.

- Austin's bad performances could allow us to sign him on a cheaper contract.

- Luka won't play in Slovenia, so he should come back healthier next year.

- This season was meant to be a gap year, so our performance vastly exceeded expectations.

- Because we just experienced a gap season, our roster should absolutely be better next season.

- Mark Walter bought the Lakers. During the off-season, he will likely work to improve the team. A better front office, facilities, and more should be expected under his ownership.

- The Boston Celtics choked a 3-1 lead to the 7th seed Sixers, who then proceeded to get swept by the Knicks. The Sixers getting swept only makes the 3-1 sweep even more embarrassing.

- Without Luka carrying the squad, the true value of our role players has been better established. As such, it'll be easier to decide what to pay them going forward.

- Luka led us to a magical stretch during March. For a few weeks, it felt like we could win it all.

There are probably other positives, but these are the ones I can think of at the moment. I believe, as a fanbase, that it's better to think about all the things we accomplished, rather than the things we didn't (especially considering our late-season circumstances).
