If a.i. is a great filter from the Fermi paradox, would a horror like the servitors and tech in warhammer 40k be the only way past it?

First off… i’m no too knowledgeable on the 40K lore or even the Fermi paradox (there is no tldr for me if you wanna inform me). We don’t know if we have past the great filter yet, but I heard a theory that we haven’t reached it yet, and that it is a.i. that can be the deciding factor of the great filter. Personally I don’t see how we could survive an a.i. uprising if/when it ever happens. If an a.i. gained sentience there are a bunch of ways where humans die out as just a side effect. But MAYBE with human life partially necessary for the processing and functioning of the machine would it be more inclined to keep humans alive? Or would it just farm us like in the matrix? Or would it just speed up our doom?
