The Deep Dark (2023) connects with House of Ashes?

I study about coal mines and caves and am really interested in movies connected with mines and deep earth excavations.

This movie, The Deep Dark has concepts similar to the Akkadian Empire shown in the House of Ashes, a video game, by The Dark Pictures Anthology.

However the game tells much more information.

The movie shows a time period from 1856 to 1956 and revolves around mining and the monster looks very similar to the one shown in the game.

Both are showing different places, so probability becomes low.

Does anyone think the same?
