I created a "Client Personality Cheat Sheet" and it's been a game-changer. Am I weird?
So I started keeping a simple note for each major client with random personal details: "Hates small talk, get to the point," "Loves dad jokes," "Never schedule meetings before 10am," "Ask about his dog Rocky," "Prefers bullet points over paragraphs." My coworker saw it and said it was "creepy." But honestly? It's saved my butt so many times. I'm not great at remembering these nuances naturally, especially juggling 30+ clients. Last week I opened a call with "How's Rocky doing?" and the client's whole demeanor changed - turned a tense conversation into a productive one. I use a simple Google Doc with a table. Is this weird or smart? What random client details do you track that seem small but make a huge difference?
