Semi-Trucks are far too dangerous to be as prevalent on the roads as they are.
Semi-Trucks are truly one of if not the most dangerous thing on the roads and I'm kinda sick of pretending they aren't. I get that they're important for the shipping industry and getting shit places but that doesn't make me feel better about 6 passing by me while I'm being tailgated by one that wants to pass on a curved road that has a double solid yellow line.
Like sure, for hauling large things, cars and sheds and stuff? Fine. How often do we need to do that? But I should never have to drive 20 minutes down the road and experience 12 Semi-Trucks passing by me with one following me, all going too fast. There's gotta be some kinda better way we'll eventually come up with than a building on wheels coming down the road.
For every semi driver who actually gives a shit that they're basically driving a building down the highway through towns where people live, there's 20 who go like 9 over the speed limit, try to pass cars on short stretches of road, box out drivers on merging lanes, and oh yeah! Kill people! Because no matter what kind of car the average person is driving, doesn't matter how safe they're being, they could be the best driver in the world, if some Semi Driver who was too busy pissing in to a Hawaiian Punch jug to pay attention to the road hits you, you're dead.
