Advice for all those who fcked up IPMAT Indore
Been there, done that.
I remember looking at my response sheet about a year ago. My hands and feet literally went numb. Before I could process what I was feeling, tears were pouring out. Couldn't eat, or look my parents in the eye (they were extremely supportive and weren't disappointed at all). So yes, I treated not clearing cutoffs as a personal failure, due to which I somehow became undeserving of other things.
So when I say this too shall pass, trust me. Did it take time? Yes. Was it hard? Definitely. But trust me when I say the grind will be worth it in some way. I thought I wouldnt get into any college, but I did get into IIMK and TAPMI Manipal. I've made some amazing friends who I cant imagine my life without. I've seen some amazing beaches and waterfalls. I made my parents happy. I joined committees. Went on crazy side quests. I'm pursuing professional certifications.
I wouldnt have experienced any of this if I gave up after IPMAT Indore. So please, give yourselves another chance. You deserve it. Don't tie your worth to an exam.
Love,
A Senior
