Is this ok?

I’m making my bestfriend who is (Russian)orthodox Christian a handmade rose petal bead rosary for his birthday. Is it ok to do this as an atheist? Or would this be seen as disrespectful? And is 33 beads a proper amount if it is okay?

I ground 30 fragrant fresh pink rose petals into a paste and cooked that down into a soft clay, squeezing out in cheese cloth and keeping the extra liquid to smooth the beads and rolled 40 beads (extras just in case some crack) and dehydrated them for two days and covered each one in rose oil.

(I know prayer ropes are most standard in orthodoxy and would like to make one with the beads but I cannot as I fear a rope will not provide them with enough structure and strength to prevent damage to them long term.)
