Sharing what we’ve been building and looking for honest feedback from other founders here.

I work at WeltPixel and we recently launched a Shopify app that handles server-side conversion tracking across GA4, Meta CAPI, Google Ads Enhanced Conversions, and TikTok Events API. Quick background on why we built it: ecommerce tracking has quietly fallen apart over the last few years. Between iOS privacy changes, ad blockers, consent banners, and browsers tightening up on cookies, the data flowing into Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager has gotten genuinely unreliable. A lot of Shopify merchants are making ad spend decisions on numbers that are 20-40% off reality, and most of them don’t realize it.

Server-side tracking fixes a big chunk of this by sending conversion events directly from the server to the ad platforms, so it doesn’t get blocked by the browser. The catch is that setting it up correctly on Shopify is fiddly — checkout extensibility, the Web Pixel sandbox, event deduplication between client and server, consent mode — there’s a lot of small things that have to be right. We packaged all of that into an app so merchants don’t have to figure it out themselves.

A few things we’ve learned getting this to market that might be useful to other founders:
	•	Building the product was maybe 40% of the work. The other 60% has been app store listing optimization, review velocity, content, and figuring out how to actually get in front of merchants who don’t know they have this problem.
	•	“Solving a problem people don’t know they have” is harder than I expected. Most merchants assume their tracking is fine because GA4 shows numbers. Getting them to audit their own attribution data before they’re willing to even try a tracking tool has been the real challenge.
	•	Early reviews matter more than I thought. Not just for ranking, but because Shopify merchants will not install a tracking app from a company they don’t recognize without social proof.

What I’d love feedback on:
	1.	If you’ve launched a B2B SaaS where the problem is invisible to most buyers, how did you create awareness without sounding alarmist?
	2.	Anyone here marketing into the Shopify ecosystem? Curious what’s working for you outside the app store itself.
	3.	Honest reactions to the listing and the positioning are very welcome — happy to hear “this is confusing” or “I don’t get why I’d need this” because that’s exactly the kind of feedback that helps.
