Accepted to MSc AI Engineering at Jönköping — is it worth it?

Hey everyone — looking for some honest advice before making a pretty big life decision.
I recently got accepted into the MSc AI Engineering program at Jönköping University. I’ve been working as a software engineer for 5+ years, and my partner and I are planning this as a serious move — ideally we’d like to build a life in Sweden long-term, not just study and leave afterward.
What I’m wondering is whether it’s realistic to live in Göteborg while studying in Jönköping.
A few questions for people familiar with the university, commuting, or the job market:
Is it realistically possible to live in Göteborg and study at JU?
How often do students actually need to be physically present?
Are lectures/labs usually mandatory?
Can you structure your schedule so you only go to Jönköping a few days per week?
Is there any flexibility in choosing courses/lessons remotely or hybrid?
I’m especially wondering if the MSc AI Engineering program is manageable for someone not living in Jönköping full-time.
How is the software/AI job market in Göteborg right now?
With 5+ years of SWE experience, would finding part-time work or consulting be realistic?
Are there good opportunities in AI/ML/frontend/cloud/etc.?
For people who moved to Sweden as students:
Would you recommend living in Göteborg over Jönköping despite the commute?
Is the extra cost/stress worth it for better career/networking opportunities?
Any general advice about JU, commuting, housing, or settling long-term in Sweden would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks a lot 🙏
