Postage Saga - Who Makes These Decisions?
There’s been several examples of decisions that have been made by Vinted that just seem purely incompetent and not thought through. It’s like the company is being run by people who are new to business, rather the acting like the billion euro company they are.
The large letter postage is a good idea, it would keep postage costs down for those items that can go in a thin envelope but who on earth thought implementing it the way they have was a good idea.
The small parcel category now gives dimensions for a small parcel and for a large letter and so for items marked as small (which I am willing to bet is the majority) it is the buyer that chooses whether it is a large letter or small parcel. Obviously they will choose large letter as this is cheapest, regardless of whether the item will fit. This isn’t the buyers fault, most won’t even think about it.
It’s ridiculous and has caused chaos.
Introduce large letter by all means, but make it its own sizing category and allow sellers to still print large letter labels via QR code. And most of all, don’t have that option auto enabled for any small parcel item, even if it’s turned off in settings.
