What is Sayaka's novel about?

Kinda self explanatory but I want to know what the novel is really about, what time it takes place in

Read the manga a couple of months ago and I am interested in this novel but I don't even know when it takes place, is it a prequel or a sequel?

Or is it just everything from her POV?

Thanks 😅
