Do you talk to strangers in public bathrooms (and which bathroom do you usually use)

My AFAB friend once offhandedly mentioned having a whole conversation about their outfit with some stranger in a public bathroom, and apparently that's not uncommon? Like people just striking up conversations in the women's room?

Idk as a guy that's just so bizarre to me, we tend to just silently do our thing while steadfastly pretending nobody else is there

Curious whether those experiences are normal for other people
