Ethel Cain NOLA night #1

I’m absolutely stunned. I’m not really a fan of big artists concerts usually, and living near new orleans I have my fair opportunity to see them. But I went today on a spontaneous whim and invited my friend (who’s only ever heard Crush), to come along. Both of us felt like rabid dogs foaming at the mouth afterwards. That was without a doubt the best show I’ve ever seen live. Everything from the crowd, the stadium, the lighting and stage set up, the employees, all of it was immaculate. I get why she has such a rabid following now. The line was crazy long so we waited in the Roosevelt bar across the street, and the entire bar was full of camo wearing Ethel fans. Genuinely a stunning experience, and I’ve been to A LOT of new orleans concerts. The fans were so nice, Hayden seemed genuinely delighted people were going crazy for her songs, just a 10000/10 experience. To anyone waffling over whether to go see her live, like I was, DO IT. She way exceeded my expectations and I genuinely feel so blessed to be able to be around other people that love her music. I will never forget Ptolemae and it’s the song I was most nervous about hearing live.
