About ranked

Hey everyone, i started playing this game about 2-3 weeks ago and have put in around 75hrs of playtime so far, ive been grinding ranked for the past 10hrs of my playtime and im currently Gold 3 but i feel like im getting stomped in almost all my ranked matches (0.99kd in ranked 🫩)

Is the skill gap really that crazy in this game and if so, what are the best ways to improve?

I only have around 100 hours of KBM playtime so that might be the main issue but i just cant seem to control my aim as well as my opponents and keep getting beamed in longer range fights.
