What is your favorite way to end a lesson?

We think the last few minutes of an online English lesson can be just as important as the warm-up. A strong ending helps students leave the lesson with a clear sense of progress instead of thinking, “Okay, we talked for 50 minutes, but what exactly did I improve?”

One approach we like is ending with a quick 3-part wrap-up:

1. One thing the student did well
“You used the past tense much more naturally today, especially when you talked about your weekend.”

2. One thing to focus on next
“Next time, we can work on making your answers longer with follow-up details.”

3. One small action before the next lesson
“Before our next class, write 5 sentences using the phrases we practised today.”

This kind of ending gives the student encouragement, direction, and a simple next step.

We are curious to hear from you. What is your favourite way to end a lesson so students feel motivated and clear about their progress?
