Best oil for 05 subaru impreza

This might be a stupid question but better safe than sorry, I got a subaru impreza wrx 2005 with a jdm EJ205 engine swap, blouch turbo, 1050 cc fuel injectors, cold air intake, no O2 sensors or any cats, rn on a base map tune, i gotta do an oil change for my car and literally everyone is telling me to put Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Engine Oil bc my car is modified but idk the fact its for diesel engines is throwing me off should i be good or what do yall recommend?
