Season 16 lost the entire essence of splitsvilla

This season felt more like a game of alliances, bhaichara and friendships than an actual dating show. It didn't feel like splitsvilla anymore.

Earlier seasons always had at least one couple that felt real. At least one true couple that worked outside the show and are still together.

And even if some didn't last outside the show but inside the show you could genuinely see the real emotional connection.

People used to put their connection above the game, above friendships and above alliances. That was the essence of this show. This time it was all about "game -game- game"

This season every connection was strategic rather than emotional. The boys were more loyal to their bhais/friends/alliances than to their girls

Gullu-kaira or Sorab-niharika also don't seem genuine even if they're together after the show. Throughout the show they never once prioritised their connections and right now also it feels more like a fake PR relationship to prove that jury wrong.

And ironically enough in this season, everyone was somehow an ideal match lmao.

Everyone knew each other before, everyone pre-planned and came prepared for PR, followers and staying relevant after the show

This wasn't what splitsvilla used to be about.
