Travelling at 18
Hey all, sorry I’m not quite sure if this is the right place to post this but I am a bit stuck. I am heading over to Europe for a trip soon, and all of the hotels say they need a credit card to cover incidentals. I contacted them all and asked whether it would be able to be done on debit card instead or in cash and most of them said debit card is fine but two of them said credit card only and one said credit card only plus the name on the card has to match your ID, so that ruins my plan of taking one of my parents cards and covering any costs back to them. I don’t think I would get approved for one as I tried about 6 months ago after being misinformed about credit scores in Australia (stupid I know but not much I can do about it now). That was for a Westpac Low Fee card. I have my optus plan in my name and have recovered my credit score to what it used to be (I know that doesn’t matter to much but still). Is there anything I can do? The booking is non-refundable and it was part of the long terms and conditions that you have a credit card in your name.
Thank you for all help!
