B1/B2 Interview experience Mumbai

Hello Everyone Wanted to share my experience at Us consulate Mumbai for B2 visa interview.

My Profile is 23 Male, Single . I own a business and also handles family business of Pharmaceutical exports.

So My Slot was of 8:10 but the line started at around 8:20 and got entry at 9:00, I don’t know if it’s regularly this much of delay or today only.

So the Interview Went like:-

Officer:- Hello, Please provide me your passport.
Me:- hello sir, here is my passport

Officer:- Do you feel any harm or threat In India.
Me:- No, I feel completely safe here.

Officer:- Do you feel threatened coming back to India.
Me:- No

Officer:- Why do you want to visit to USA?
Me:- I want to visit my Brother and sister in law as well as have planned a short vacation over there.

Officer:- what do they do over there?
Me:- My sister in law works as engineer in xx company and my brother is on H4.

Officer:- have you been out of India before?
Me:- yes i have been to Dubai and Vietnam

Officer:- What do you do ?
Me:- I own my own business related to packaging Industry and also handles family business of export.

Officer:- Are you Single or Married?
Me:- I am single.

Then he hands me the 214(b) slip.

I mostly think it’s because of the young age and marital status as well as due to my brother’s H4 status.

Let me know what you guys think and how can i improve my profile and reapply after a year or so.
