The senior who told me none of this will matter in 5 years and they were right
I was crying about a B minus. A senior saw me. They said none of this will matter in 5 years. You will have a job. You will have friends. You will have a life. This grade will be a memory.
I did not believe them. I believed them 5 years later.
The B minus did not matter. The class did not matter. The professor did not matter.
What mattered was the friend who sat with me while I cried. What mattered was the meal I ate after. What mattered was the walk back to my dorm.
College is not about grades. It is about becoming who you are.
What is something that felt huge in college that does not matter now? 🫂
