What do you think about those realistic pictures in people's bot cards?

Am I the only one who really doesn't like the realistic pictures people use for bots now?

I know it's probably just a trend, but they kind of take me out of the RP, especially when they don't match the bot's vibe at all. Some creators put them behind links instead, which I honestly prefer so you don't have to see them if they're not your thing.

I feel a little weird for disliking them this much because they seem super popular and a lot of trending bots use them now, but I also feel like people feel compelled to do them because they're popular at the moment. And creating them also takes space and time, so kudos to those who put this in.

You also can't comment on this under anyone's bots for fearing they'll block you, so this is why I wanted to write this post. I genuinely want to discuss this with people, not attack anyone.

What are your guys' thoughts on those realistic pictures (where the bot pfp is made by AI).

I personally click on the bot pictures when I like them and I wouldn't click on them if their picture were the realistic style, so opening them up and seeing them in the bot card kinda feels like I've been baited.
