Aussie help: what happens when your mental health care plan sessions run out?

I’ll try keep this as brief as possible, and am hoping to anyone familiar with the Australian healthcare system it’ll make sense:
- A few months ago I thought I was burnt out and booked in an appointment with a psychologist
- First appointment a month ago
- Three days later, emergency department, acute care, psychiatrist starts me on SSRI’s, the works.
- Weekly visits with psychologist throughout
- Psychologist would like to keep doing weekly visits

Obviously these aren’t all covered under a mental health care plan. They’re each $350 if you remove the subsidy. Am I supposed to just… pay $350 a week?

Aussies, or people in general, are there workarounds in the system?
