Just bought a 2010 Mercedes-benz s400

As my second car, i was looking for something more focused on aesthetics which is why i landed on this car when i found it. Dealership had it listed at 8,899 with 106k miles. We got a good deal on it, so i bought it. It has everything i could want aesthetically.

The car drives home fine, no issues. I think i’ll be able to use it as a daily driver now. I get back in to start the car after being inside for a bit, and i get a battery malfunction message on the dash and the car won’t start.

Before we took it home from the dealership, they were trying to fix the AC through the air compressor and were also turning on and off the battery near the spare tire to do so. I suspect because they were playing with the air compressor, the hybrid system was impacted somehow. I was told they would send it to a mechanic on their dollar to get it fixed. Keep in mind we did a financing deal where we owe the dealership 1800 in the next 60 days with no APR. So we have some leverage my mom claims.

Please let me know what you think i should do. Ask for my money back? What if they don’t pay for the replacement parts needed? I bought this car thinking i was paying it off, not 20k indebted to it because of a mistake that was caused by the dealership mechanic.
