I need help

Help, my PC has no sound

Hi, I recently built a PC from scratch. However, no matter what I do or try, I can’t get it to detect audio with any headphones. When I plug them in, whether through the jack or USB, there’s no sound at all.

I haven’t had the chance to test this properly, so I’m not sure if it’s related, but I’m using an HDMI to VGA adapter since my monitor only supports VGA or DVI.

I have an AMD M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard. It’s also worth mentioning that it does detect other devices like my keyboard and mouse.
