The Knicks roster construction is the blueprint for building around Luka.
Which is basically the same blueprint he had in Dallas. We need to load up on versatile, multi positional wings who can defend and knock down shots. You need a mix of centers who can protect the paint and stretch the floor. We’re probably not finding a KAT anytime soon although maybe Markkanen could become that guy since he might be available. But the Knicks are showing the exact type of roster construction that works around Luka. None of this is groundbreaking. We all know what this team needs. The important part is understanding that this won’t be built in a single offseason. But still, we absolutely need to see the roster trending in that direction with this offseason coming up. My bigger concern is if Smart, Rui, and Reaves fit into this model. I know Smart for sure does.
