Private Practice Advice Wanted!

Hi everyone,

I’m in the early stages of starting my own private practice and would really appreciate advice from therapists who have already done this successfully. (this is a throwaway account)

I’m an EMDR therapist, and I’m planning to offer online EMDR. I work internationally and am hoping to build a client base outside of my own time zone, so I’d also really appreciate any feedback from people who have experience with online therapy, international clients, or working across time zones.

For those of you who have started your own private practice, I’d be grateful for any advice you’re comfortable sharing.

• What common pitfalls should I avoid?

Any practical advice around marketing, boundaries, referrals, pricing, admin, client fit, online EMDR, or getting started would be really helpful.
