Newbie needs help

So I'm pretty new to LEGO only ever really done small kits before. I got myself a BD-1 set 75335 and im looking at getting a light kit for him, my question is, Can you still use le-glue or something of the like with light kits or no? I like glueing my sets and I'm not sure if I want to spend the money for a light set if I can't glue it before.

Any help would be appreciated because Google has not been my friend on this!
