I've been looking for a violet perfume for a while. I think it's an ethereal scent. Coming from tropical place, I was in awe when I moved to Europe and smelled my first violet. It was a February morning 4 yrs ago and they were a few unassuming flowers, almost weedlike in an untended corner of the yard of my department's library. Didn't even know what it was and had to use Plant Net to identify it. It was faintly reminiscent of Italian flower jelly candies my parents sometimes got for Christmas, just juicer and more crisp.

After some sniffing I'm close to buying L'insolence, which I like. With the mood board I want to mean that I don't mind powdery or "old", and I tolerate mild sweetnes, though I'm not into gourmands (would you consider violet-candy perfumes gourmand?). Maybe you guys know a different violet that's more lively and realistic...?

Have tried:

**L'insolence / The Favorite / Solar violet / Palatine.**

This past year I mixed the cheapie **violet** and **white musk** perfume oils from my local perfumer to enjoy the smell before buying something expensive to decent success it postponed my quest a whole other year. Palatine was the only disappointment bc it flat-out smells like shampoo.

I'm open to all suggestions of perfumes new and old, indie and more commercial, designer and not. Bonus points if it's less than 100€ and easy to find.
