There absolutely are wrong ways to play Dark Souls
I see a lot of people saying stuff like "There's no wrong way of playing Dark Souls" which couldn't be further from the truth. You can definitely play this game wrong and make it a torture for yourself, in multiple ways.
I am not talking issues like being greedy or not paying attention to your environment. We all start with those mistakes and learn to fix them. I am talking about some fundamental mindsets that some people have.
For example, insisting on beating a boss before progressing through the game. Refusing to look for shortcuts, alternate routes, not upgrading equipment, not trying out anything new... And that's literally the first thing that the game teaches you **not to do** with the Asylum Demon.
Anyway, so I have to say it's a really harmful idea to spread that there's no wrong ways of playing this game. People thinking such things will probably argue the game is just too hard and the fault isn't their own approach when they die 50 times to the same boss.
