Why does Wakako help you for free?

I am referring to the parade shard she gives you and Goro. I'm purely asking because I just connected in my head that she may have done this due to the fact she feels some sort of guilt for doing what she done to evelyn? Not in the sense of she feels bad for selling her off to scavs but that she feels bad for doing that to V. Let me know what you guys think or if I missed a reason.
