Beginner running shoes with good cushion

So I have found my long lost motivation to start running again. Complete beginner. Wen to a shoe shop yesterday, tried a few shoes and the Niko Vomero 18 was the one fitting my feet the best and had nice cushion.

After taking them home I'm obviously regretting spending 170 euro on an American product. Can you guys recommend something else hopefully in the same price range. I need something with good cushion as I'm very prone to get shin splint.
