Why does using DeFi still feel harder than it should?

:discuss: Discussion

Tried helping a friend do a simple cross-chain DeFi strategy today.

Nothing crazy. Just moving funds, swapping, and depositing.

It somehow turned into:

  • 3 different wallets
  • 2 bridges
  • multiple approvals
  • RPC switching
  • checking gas on another website
  • double-checking contract addresses because everyone’s paranoid about scams

And this is considered “normal” in crypto.

The infrastructure in DeFi is honestly amazing now.
Liquidity is there. The protocols work.

But the execution layer still feels fragmented.

Every action requires context switching between apps, tabs, wallets, and chains. Even experienced users make mistakes constantly.

Feels like the next big unlock for Web3 isn’t another chain.

It’s simplifying execution itself.
For both humans and AI agents.

Curious what annoys you guys the most when using DeFi today?
