Will an OCD diagnosis hurt my chances at a job?

I’m currently in college and I’m in a situation where I’m looking to get an OCD diagnosis especially after a certain episode related to my housing situation on campus. I tried doing this last year but I backed out and now I’m back but I’m worried. I have an intake appointment this week with my uni’s psych service before they send me in a certain direction probably to a specialist who’ll give me a diagnosis and any needed documentation for accommodations. In the past, any time I’ve seen somebody they’ve always heavily speculated OCD and tried to refer me to a specialist but I never went.

My dream job is being an engineer or researcher at NASA or something similar but I’m worried the diagnosis will stop me from getting those jobs and that I’ll be at a disadvantage and future me will regret not just sucking it up especially since I’m not looking to take medication. Any advice? I’m in the U.S. if that makes a difference
