Having a bit of a 3am spiral

We typically get mice in the house in the winter. We set straps, and after a few weeks of no mice we pick as up the traps and move on. I’ve heard them in the air vents and I’ve seen them hop back into the air vents when they do come in.

Should I be replacing the entirety of my duct work? I haven’t seen or heard a mouse in 6 or so months but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there. This also happens literally every winter so I’m not sure where to start. Pest company? New ducts? I’m not sure that’s the only place they come in. Previous homeowners were hoarders.
