Bambu A1 filament load issue / clicking sound after failed print

General Troubleshooting/Help!

Hi all,

This is only my third print, and I’ve been having ongoing issues with my Bambu A1.

I came back to find a failed print with filament spaghetti everywhere, no actual print on the bed, and what seemed like a jammed nozzle. The printer was also making a clicking/popping sound.

So far I have tried:

  • Removed and cleaned the nozzle
  • Same issue afterwards
  • Removed/disconnected the AMS lite
  • Checked the AMS lite Filament Hub
  • I was able to push filament through manually, so there does not seem to be a blockage there
  • Turned the front gear/dial by hand and did not hear any unusual noises

When I try to load filament, this is the sound it makes with no filament in the tube yet:

And this is the sound it makes with filament loaded:

Does this sound like an a damaged extruder gear, or something else I should check next?

Any advice would be appreciated. I’m still pretty new to this, so I may be missing something obvious.
