EV range in slow heavy traffic vs light traffic

So... the story is that, with a 100% charge, I'm getting under 30 km (19 miles) ev range in heavy traffic (stop and go and slow) no matter what I try:
- I've set the regen to high
- I turn autohold on which turns off the electric engine
- I'm very light on the throttle
- I look ahead and lift off if the traffic slows down
The temperature outside is 20-25 C, basically warm spring weather.
Am I doing something wrong or the range is just that bad?
