Helldivers 2 or Battlefield 6? Any alternative FPS PvP or PVE suggestions if neither?

Hi y'all so for context I recently got a gaming laptop and am having a great time with Cyberpunk so far, issue is I used to play alot of COD on console and I've been craving smthn similar, single player is getting lonely. I miss the energy and adrenaline of multiplayer games.

I know Helldivers 2 is PVE but everything I've heard says the Co Op element makes it a blast to play, and it's a very satisfying and rewarding FPS experience, or atleast that's what I heard last year now it seems to get some negativity.

The alternative I have in mind is Battlefield 6 or 2042, but both have so much criticism online I can't tell if the games are still crap or worthwhile, BF6 seems extremely chaotic and doesn't have good discounts yet either, whereas BF2042 it doesn't seem like anyone plays it now

Im not considering COD on pc cause I'm familiar with the criticism they get pumping out the same game every year but slightly worse, and I'm happy to try other FPS this time that can scratch that same itch. Before you suggest, I'm not interested in CS2, valorant, overwatch etc those games are too sweaty for my tastez and I don't like games like Valoranr particularly.

I'm really leaning towards Helldivers 2 rn cause steam has good discount, just can't convince my friends to buy it and idk if the online match making is worthwhile or still fun years after launch. Like a part of me thinks it surely must get repetitive just shooting aliens at some point right, how intelligent could NPC bosses possibly get.
