teensy tiny itsy bitsy "safety" eyes -- how do you secure these?

hi! I hope the flair I chose was OK. I was pokin' around in one of my little craft supply boxes and re-discovered these things, which I am pretty sure are tiny eyes for tiny amigurumi.

But how do you secure these? They did not come with any backings like other safety eyes and noses. How do you make sure they stay in place?

(just for background: I don't make stuff for small children, and I don't sell my makes, so really i'm just looking to make sure eyes aren't falling out all over the place)
