I bought this red Kelly during a really confusing period of my life.

Nothing dramatic happened.

I was just stuck.

Stuck in a job I didn’t love.

Stuck in routines that made every day feel identical.

Even my closet was starting to look emotionally exhausted.

Then I saw this bag.

Deep red, gold hardware, sharp shape.

Very “adult woman with her life together.”

Which honestly made me laugh because at the time, I absolutely did not.

When my mom first saw it, she frowned immediately.

“This looks too serious for you.”

A week later, she came over for dinner and quietly picked it up off the chair.

Then asked:

“Does it fit comfortably on the shoulder?”

That’s how it started.

Now every time she visits, she somehow leaves carrying it.

Last month she wore it to lunch with her friends and came home smiling like she was twenty years younger.

She looked at me and said:

“Okay… now I get why people care about bags.”

I didn’t even care about the bag at that moment.

I just realized I hadn’t seen her look that happy in a long time.
