Book 8 Audiobook - Stereo audio for conversations?

Only up to chapter 8 so far listening to the audiobook, and noticed that for some conversations with multiple characters the sound comes mostly from the left side for one character, and then mostly from the right for another

Personally I hate this kind of editing for audiobooks because it feels like I have broken headphones, it also makes my ears feel weird and makes my entire body uncomfortable, I would usually just switch over to mono audio but I cant do that on audible on my phone!

Is this something that continues throughout the book? I may not be able to finish it if that is the case :(
