Getting kicked from GTA Online lobbies when I try to send invites for a heist

So, every time I try to invite people to a heist (I'm still stuck on the Prison Break setup), once I try to auto-invite or invite people from the current session, I get kicked from the session by "other players". I'm sick of it - all I wanna do is get a heist going and complete the missions one by one. What am I doing wrong? How do I go about this?
