Some of our country’s greatest stories began in social homes.

Iconic moments and everyday achievements that shape our history, our culture and our lives have their roots in a secure and affordable home. Social homes provide the solid foundation we all need to build a future for ourselves, our families and our communities.

But we simply aren’t building enough.

Councils used to build over 100,000 genuinely affordable social homes every year. They built social homes for their neighbourhoods, and generations had a place to grow and to thrive.
