Football fans of Btechtards assemble!

Just saw a post and realised FIFA 2026 is only a month away. Instantly got hit with hostel nostalgia.

Nothing will ever match those late-night World Cup screenings during BTech. Entire hostel common rooms packed, people screaming after every goal, random guys becoming best friends for 90 minutes.

I still remember the Argentina vs France final. Our whole campus watched it on a projector and when the final whistle blew, everyone completely lost it. Probably one of the greatest nights of college life.

Now I’m doing well professionally and life turned out pretty much how I wanted after graduation. But honestly, I’d still give anything to relive those hostel World Cup nights one more time.

To everyone currently in engineering college: don’t miss this World Cup. Watch the matches with your friends, skip sleep if you have to, scream at the screen, make memories. Years later, these are the moments you’ll remember the most.
