How would you advocate for more awareness
Not sure if this is allowed but was wondering if anyone would be willing to answer some questions for me??
I have the chance to write a “community change proposal” for uni and as someone who was been suffering with PMDD for at least 10 years, i’ve chosen to write about how those suffering with PMDD can advocate for more education and awareness surrounding PMDD.
We’ve been told that if we do well, we can be linked in with people that will help us develop and possibly implement our initiative, so i was thinking that maybe getting some opinions that aren’t my own would help me develop a well rounded proposal!
If you were to start an initiative to educate medical professionals about PMDD, what would be a realistic plan for you?
What do you think are some of the systemic barriers that have contributed to the lack of awareness and education around PMDD?
Is there a way to advocate for education and awareness for PMDD in a way that would feel empowering to you?
How often have you felt the need to advocate for yourself in medical settings because of your PMDD, and how has this made you feel?
If you have had to advocate for yourself in a medical setting, how did the medical professional respond?
I’m also very happy to answer any questions! I already have an outline vof my proposal so was mostly just looking for some last minute input before i finalise it all
