Picked up all of this from a thrift store for $100aud, where can I go from here?
Got this Sony STR-K1000P HTIB for $100aud in full working order, its a 6.2 system, and the 3 side/rear speakers were Richter Predator II speakers instead of the sony ones it was meant to come with. Not entirely sure what I've bought since I'm mostly a headphone guy and haven't dabbled much in speakers.
I've heard that HTIB systems usually suck, but these sound pretty good to my untrained ear (aside from the lack of sub-bass from the subwoofers). I have been told however that Richter are a known good speaker manufacturer here in Australia, but wondering what other routes I should take from here? I mostly use it for music but still want something capable for films.
It's been nearly impossible finding much info on this HTIB system so if anyone knows anything about it please let me know!!
(To the mods: As i understand this doesn't break the rule about only posting thrift finds on Thursday as it is a full setup pictured and I'm asking more about the system and where to go than just showing off what I found, lmk if I'm wrong though and I'll remove the post)
