online or in person classes?

Good morning, evening or night everyone,
I am asking a question no one knew how to answer quite properly to me. i've been on other subreddits to see people's answers and opinions about this, yet it's always too vague and never really answered.

As a current or ex student in college/uni or a teacher;
Do you think online classes are as efficient as in person classes ?
if yes; what makes you say that?
if no; what makes you say that?
Please tell me about your experience, no matter the major you chose or the year you were in.
thank you all🙏🏼
