Christian perspective on dating apps?
I (late twenties M) have been feeling like it's time to get to know someone with the intention of eventually sharing my life with her and marrying her. Never had a girlfriend and naturally, I feel like the clock is ticking.
I wanted to get some of your perspectives on dating apps and maybe how to still let Christ be the center as I swipe for matches.
I feel bad because after not getting a lot of likes, a girl who was not necessarily my type sent a like so I swiped back to see if anything would click. She was also Christian, nice to talk to, loved music as I did. But I just was not physically attracted. I felt I was wasting her time so I unmatched.
Then my first swipe back happened and I got butterflies because she was really my type, Christian too. I wanted to get to know her but it's been days now and she hasn't been online π Wondering if I should take it as a sign from God to get off the apps because it has me thinking about daughters of Christ this shallowly. I almost feel like dating apps are designed that way.
Anyway, if my call is to honor God in my singleness then let His will be done. But I won't know if I don't try I guess π
Thoughts and prayers appreciated. God bless y'all ππ»βοΈ
